38 Bankruptcy Trustee Wants Michael Corso To Give Back Fees

The lawyer in charge of the 38 Studios' bankruptcy is trying to recoup money from payments made to a lawyer with close ties to the company. Jeoffrey Burtch, the trustee in the federal bankruptcy of the 38 Studios' legal case, wants Providence lawyer Michael Corso to return some of the money that 38 Studios paid him.

SOE Associate Art Director John Roy Passes Away

Sony Online Associate Art Director John Roy passed away on October 14th 2014. The cause of his death is unknown as of this writing.

Roy has worked in various positions at SOE since 1998. He started out as a Lead Artist at SCEA; in August of 1998 he took on the role of Assoc. Art Director at SOE. Roy has worked for Sony for nearly 18 years and has contributed to such games as EverQuest, Star Wars Galaxies and many of SOE's biggest MMO titles.

EMP Museum Announces 'Indie Game Revolution Launch Party'

EMP Museum passed along word today that it will celebrate the opening of its newest exhibit with the "Indie Game Revolution Launch Party" on November 7, 2014. EMP has partnered with UK-based indie video game collective the Wild Rumpus to curate a gaming party that’s part indie arcade, a "sound and visual extravaganza."

All are welcomed to attend. New and unreleased games from Wild Rumpus will be at the event, along with titles to be premiered in Indie Game Revolution, sponsored by Nintendo.

Tickets Available for Canadian Video Game Awards

GOG: No Contact With Developer of 'Hatred'

Yesterday in response to a GameSpot article about its game, Hatred, Polish developer Destructive Creations said that it would like to release its games on Steam and GOG.com.

"We really wish to release [a] digital version through Steam and GOG, but actually we have no idea if they will let us to do this, because of all the sh**storm the game is delivering," Destructive Creations' Jarosław Zieliński told GameSpot.

Ad Men Pitch 'We Want Half-Life 3' Marketing/Harassment Campaign

Leaked Draft of TPP Shows Rights Holders Have a Seat at the Table

Malwarebytes Highlights Malware Masquerading as Console Emulators

OnLive Partners With Samsung For GALAXY Note 4

Cloud gaming company OnLive announced today a new partnership with Samsung that offers Samsung GALAXY Note 4 users three months of unlimited OnLive gaming for free. Using the OnLive Android app (available to download free from the Samsung Galaxy Apps store), users can stream PC and "console-quality" games from OnLive’s servers to their Galaxy Note 4 for play anywhere if they have a Wi-Fi or 4G connection, according to OnLive. Epic Games: We Are Not Associated In Any Way With 'Hatred'

Epic Games was quick to distance itself from Hatred, a game revealed this morning from Polish developer Destructive Creations. The game described by its creators as an "isometric shooter with [the] disturbing atmosphere of mass killing," was apparently built using Epic's Unreal Engine 4 and featured the Epic logo in its debut trailer.

Speaking to Polygon, Epic said that it asked the developer to take its logo out of its trailer and other marketing material.
