It looks like those who were keen on playing Sony Online Entertainment's catalog of online games for a flat monthly fee will have to wait just a little bit longer. SOE announced today that it has delayed its "All-Access Pass" subscription plan to April 29. The company previously delayed its launch from April 6 to April 23, but this week it delayed it one more time. Why another delay? To ensure that the transfer to the "All Access Pass" subscription system is seamless, says SOE.

China-based MMO developer and publisher Perfect World Entertainment announced this morning that it has entered into an agreement to purchase more than 30 million shares of Chinese MMO outfit Shanda Games Limited for $100 million in cash.

The petition on Change.org urging Rockstar Games to bring Grand Theft Auto V to PC has almost 700,000 signatures. When the PC version of Ubisoft's Watch Dogs releases later this year it will require consumers to install the company's Uplay software. Even if the game is purchased through Steam, users will still have to install Uplay, according to CVG. All PC versions of the game will use a mandatory Uplay client that players will have to log on to in order to activate the game.

Wargaming CEO Victor Kisyli has pledged that his company will invest $10 million into improving and developing features that support eSports in 2014. At a press conference in Warsaw, Poland, Wargaming CEO Victor Kisyli said that there has been a huge upswing of interest in World of Tanks for eSports in the last two years. In 2012, 30,000 pro players took part in 120 World of Tanks tournaments, while in 2013 that number climbed to 200,000 players across more than 1,000 World of Tanks tournaments, according to Wargaming's calculations.

In its ongoing lawsuit over the rights to Duke Nukem, 3D Realms has responded to Gearbox Software's trademark violation lawsuit by claiming that it still owns the license to the franchise. The studio is currently preparing to release Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction, a top-down action game starring the familiar gaming hero.

Last month Gearbox announced it would sue 3D Realms and Mass Destruction developer Interceptor Entertainment for allegedly using the IP it claims it owns without permission.

Two key founders of Torchlight series makers Runic Games, Travis Baldree and Erich Schaefer, have left the company to form an indie studio called Double Damage Games that will work on products of a smaller scale. Travis Baldree and Erich Schaefer announced their departure from Runic Games on the developer's forum, saying the split was "amicable."

Indie developer Positech Games said via a new blog post that game sales (like the kind found on Steam and in the Humble Bundle) are providing the endorphin rush instead of the fun of actually playing the games players are purchasing at deep discounts. Positech Games' Cliff Harris says that these kinds of sales are insidious dangers that normalize huge price reductions.

"This is a big psychology trick that is being used to siphon money from gamers, and it's a bad thing," he said. "And if we can - and I think we probably can't - we should stop it."

Nvidia will end support for DirectX 10-based video cards, the graphics chip maker announced today. Nvidia told consumers today that the version 340 of its drivers will be the last to support DirectX 10 generation video cards.

While people are trying their best to hack the Xbox One controller this week to make it work on the PC, Microsoft say that such functionality is on the way at some point, and strongly pushed back at any suggestion that Microsoft didn't have plans to provide support for it on PC. Speaking in this NeoGAF thread, Microsoft director of product planning Albert Penello said that reports suggesting that Xbox One controllers will not work on PC are flat-out wrong.

EA has released a Titanfall release schedule for the digital versions of the game on Xbox One and PC through its Origin digital distribution service.

While the Xbox One version of the game launches in the U.S. Canada, Mexico and Brazil today, it won't be available in other regions around the globe until March 14. Ubisoft is apparently comfortable enough to give us a concrete date for the release of its open world game Watch Dogs. Sony Online Entertainment says that it will delay its plans to launch its "All Access" pricing scheme to the middle of April. The announcement was made by SOE President John Smedley. The All Access pricing plan, which gives subscribers to all of SOE's games for one monthly subscription fee, was set for launch on April 2. Smedley said that there was just too much stuff left to finish to hit the April 2 deadline.

Mojang founder Markus "Notch" Persson has announced that the PC version of Minecraft now has over 100 million registered users. That number represents the number of people who have created free Minecraft accounts - a required step in downloading the Minecraft demo from the official Mojang site.

The PC version of Minecraft has passed the 14 million copies sold mark, according to Mojang co-founder and game creator Markus 'Notch' Persson. Over the weekend Persson tweeted the latest milestone for his hit building game. That's up from the number of 13 million in sales by the end of December 2013.

Mojang also recently announced sales of 10 million copies of the Xbox 360 version and one million copies of the PlayStation 3 version. The PS3 version hit that impressive milestone after only five weeks of availability on the platform.
