A new game from Moneyhorse Games lets players jump into the boots of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The game is called "Glorious Leader" and is a side-scrolling action game that lets you jump into the shoes of the dictator as he guns down his enemies with reckless abandon. The game will also feature Kim Jong Un pal Dennis Rodman.

Creator Moneyhorse Games insists that the game, which depicts a U.S. invasion of the country, is completely satirical and non-political in nature, despite its touchy subject matter.

A new game making fun of Toronto mayor Rob Ford is finding some early success, according to its creators. The free flash game, "Rob Ford: The Game" drops a rotund Mayor Ford into a one-screen platformer made up of Canadian flags. The object of the game is fairly straightforward: collect power-ups like marijuana leaves, crack pipes, and bottles of booze, while avoiding journalists and the police.

The game also features sound bites from Ford, including the infamous comment he made about having oral sex with his wife.

New Delhi Television highlights a new online game that lets players shoot opposition figures involved in the disputed 2009 Iranian presidential election. The online game, which NDTV describes as a Doom style knock-off, allows the player to "confront symbols of sedition" a term popularized in the aftermath of the 2009 presidential election to describe pro-reform supporters who disputed the results.

Twenty-three-year-old Robin Ras, a Dutch game developer and owner of GamesOnly.com, has found a unique way of protesting Russian President Vladimir Putin's anti-gay policies. With the Winter Olympics in full swing at Sochi, Ras thought the best way to make a statement about the country's deplorable treatment of gays was to create a protest game.

While we have no way to confirm it, one of our readers claims that a man whose game recently launched on Kongregate (owned by GameStop) has been arrested by the Iranian government and jailed. The game he was supposedly jailed for is "Kill Dictators," and as the title suggest, players are charged with killing various leaders inside and outside Iran including Bashar, Erdogan, Amhadi Nejad, Khameni, Nasrallah, and Putin.

While it's not much to look at, a game simply known as "Fight Corruption" has grabbed the attention of hundreds of thousands of gamers in mainland China, according to independent (New York-based) Chinese media outlet, NTD TV.

The Kickstarter campaign for the politically themed adventure game 1979 REVOLUTION ended yesterday, falling short of its goal. The game managed to generate $304,741 from over a thousand backers, put missed its goal of $395,000 when the campaign hit its deadline yesterday. In a note to backers, the development team from iNK Stories said that they were grateful to those people who supported them with a financial commitment and vowed to continue to find funding for the game.

Florida-based political group The National Liberty Foundation is catching some heat this morning for posting anti-immigration propaganda from Bioshock Infinite, a game that puts such forms of thinking under a microscope by focusing on an isolated society, its leader and the movement that wants to keep "America pure." The group describes itself as a conservative coalition made up of citizens that identify themselves as part of the Tea Party movement.

Flexibendi has released it's first game for Android devices and it's all about the political process. The game, Prez Games, is a board-card game where the end goal is to win those 270 electoral votes needed in order to secure the presidency of the United States.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, who was allegedly caught on video smoking crack, can now enjoy some fresh new ridicule via a new medium: a video game. In the game - available via Google Play for Android devices - players control the mayor as he avoids crack pipes and the media long enough to earn money to buy back that allegedly incriminating video tape. A new game for Android devices called Whack a Candidate: Election' 12 charges you with suppressing the vote of the political party you don't like by whacking them in the face with the "Hammer of Justice." The game is much like whack-a-mole but the field is a map of the United States. When a candidate or their vice-presidential running mate pops up on the map you whack them with a hammer to stop them from scoring votes in a given state.

A new poltically themed game from developer Mayonaise Games lets you cast your vote for the U.S. president in a whole new way. The Android game is called Face Chop: Decision 2012, and it lets players "chop" the faces of candidates to earn points and "win the election."

IGN points out that Ubisoft's upcoming DLC for Assassin’s Creed III will have a very unique villain: George Washington. The founding father of our country and the first U.S. president was basically offered a position similar to "king' or "emperor" of America. Washington declined that offer and instead became the first president of the country, according to every history book I have ever read.
