Virality Farms offers a live action reimagining of the classic Nintendo Entertainment System light gun game, Duck Hunt, complete with a crazy hunter, a smart assed dog, and a duck that can be pretty hard to hit. You can check out the video to your left. A few take-aways from the video:

- Never let your dog hold your gun while riding a four-wheeler.

In a new edition of GameSpot's "Reality Check" video series, host Cam Robinson tries to answer questions surrounding the claim that playing games like Grand Theft Auto V and other shooters can train a person to be a "killer" in the real world?

Late Night with Conan O'Brien tackles Diablo III in a segment featuring the Barbarian and Demon Hunter classes frolicking in the early part of the game. The voice-overs chatter on about smores, micro-brews, auctions, and roaring fires, along with copious amounts of somersaulting.

"For such a dark, gritty game, it seems to feature a lot of lighthearted somersaulting," notes the description of the video on YouTube.

I think Team Coco may have captured the essence of Blizzard's action RPG better than anyone else has yet... Watch the video to your left.

Jinni has inked a multi-year agreement with Microsoft to enhance entertainment discovery on Xbox video game and entertainment systems including the Xbox 360 and the upcoming Xbox One releasing in late November. Jinni is described by its creators as a "taste-and-mood based engine" that enables entertainment discovery using "content genetics" and an understanding of user preference analytics.

"Temple Run - High Holiday Edition," the latest episode of the video series Jewbellish: The Show, is an amusing take on the popular endless runner game Temple Run and what might happen if you (assuming you are Jewish) felt like running out of Temple on Rosh Hashana or Yom Kippur.

Temple Run - High Holiday Edition was directed by comedian Mendy Pellin for the Jewish sketch comedy web series and stars Jason Lott and Kai Cofer, amongst others.

Today Microsoft launched a new contest that encourages Xbox One fans to create and submit a one minute video about the Xbox One games they like. The creators of the chosen videos will win a series of Xbox One related goodies when the system launches this fall including an Xbox One system, a one-year Xbox Live Gold subscription, an undetermined amount of free Xbox One launch titles, and the opportunity to work with Microsoft's Upload team in the future.

Writer Sophie Prell has launched a Kickstarter to fund a bi-monthly web show that focuses on video games, the people that make them, and the fans (who will get a chance to interact with the games industry in various ways). The show will be called "Sincerely Sophie" and will run two shows a month for ten months if she can meet her funding goal of $16,000.

Valve Software and Twitch have inked a deal this week that will allow Steam users to link their Twitch accounts and watch video streams outside of a game. The deal is mainly for DOTA2 players, who will become eligible for tournament item drops while watching a Twitch stream. Valve said it plans to expand on the features available through the deal, and is asking players for feedback on the matter.

The deal came to light as part of a new DOTA 2 update that added a number of new features into the game including six new tutorial missions and a new Limited Heroes mode.

A new study released by Google related to its YouTube video service concludes that community created gaming videos represent 47 percent of views, while pre-launch material uploaded from publishers and PR make up 50 percent of views. Google's report also reveals that one-in-three views are from a smartphone or tablet. Google calls these "second screen" views, and suggests that they are watched while playing the game for guidance and tips. The study also noted that 95 percent of consumers watch gaming videos on YouTube.

Scott J. Weiselberg claims in a new lawsuit against Apple that the company charges a $1 premium for renting HD movies, TV shows and other videos from its iTunes store - even if consumers do not have an HD-capable device. Attorneys for Weiselberg claim that the iTunes store's default download offering is the more expensive HD option.

Libertarian publication Reason has a new song from resident parody prodigy Remy about the NSA's mobile phone surveillance program called "Tap It: The NSA Slow Jam." The song makes fun of the NSA's PRISM program and its practice of collecting Americans' mobile phone meta-data that was leaked by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.

The best line in the song, in my opinion:

"Text yourself about it, let us know how you feel."

While America debates whether former NSA contractor Edward Snowden is a traitor or a hero for leaking classified information related to the NSA's alleged "PRISM" internet surveillance program or analyzing the data from Americans' mobile phones, some people are busy trying to make us laugh about the whole situation. One of those people is comedian Steve Hofstetter, who has created parody video of the "deleted scenes" from The Guardian interview with Snowden.

A wheelchair-bound gamer who regularly appeared on Twitch.tv has been accused of faking his disability after he stood up and walked while on camera. No, he was not broadcasting live from a faith healers temple - he just sort of did it while his camera was on. Now he is facing the outrage and wrath of the gaming community and the punitive verdict of Twitch.tv, according to Eurogamer.

During the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco last week Google's YouTube announced a new API for game developers that allows them to allow users to directly stream video from their games without using an external streaming service such as Twitch.TV or Ustream. YouTube streaming is already in some games - like Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 - but the goal of the new API is to bring in-game streaming solutions tied to YouTube to far more developers.

The Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments in two cases right now that could change whether gay marriage is legal in the United States and if States and the Federal Governments have the power to pass laws that prohibit it. Andrew Eisen's latest video illustrates what America might look like if the Supreme Court sides with opponents of DOMA and California's Prop 8 law.

Starbreeze Studios and publisher Sony Online Entertainment do not want to be associated with a video promoting a contest seeking "women" to star in a proposed movie based on the popular Payday game. The CEO of Starbreeze went out of his way to explain to Games Industry International this morning that the video featuring an office visit to the Overkill Software is not representative of the company's views. Some have called out the video featuring Top Model Sweden contestants Angner Sophie and Nina Strauss sexist in tone for its use of sexual language and jokes.

If you are one of those YouTube users who put up a Shining Force video and had it unceremoniously yanked by YouTube at the request of Sega, then you'll be happy to read this story. Sega says via this Sega forum post that it will no longer engage in such anti-community activities any longer (thanks to Andrew Eisen for sending this one in).

Andrew Eisen plays a little game called Let's Try to Connect to SimCity and Play the Game. It's a game that was sweeping the nation this week, but unlike the hula-hoop or baseball, this week's American pastime was not that much fun. Jake Solomon and the team at Firaxis Games have put together a video asking the community to watch them at this year's Game Developers Choice Awards at the Game Developers Conference in late March. From there the video kind of goes off the rails.

This amusing video takes something Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer said on Fox News about a year ago related to the government's use of drones for domestic surveillance within the borders of the United States by showing him how it could be done in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The video is the product of the fine folks at Coffee with Games (which incidentally are two of my favorite things).

This video from the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) is priceless, even if you don't agree with its premise on morality and honesty. There's even a small bit about file-sharing in there. Enjoy it - it was unearthed by occasional "video games aren't art" film critic Roger Ebert.

He has been in the video games industry since 1979 and he has seen his fair share of games that pushed the envelope and got the attention of people that normally don't pay attention to such cultural phenomenon - like politicians and parent's groups.

The PBS Idea Channel has launched its latest episode on YouTube which focuses on virtual currency and the future. The latest episode is called "Are Bitcoins and Unusual Hats the Future of Currency?" and focuses on the popular virtual currency and the commerce that occurs in virtual spaces like Team Fortress 2.

It also explores some of the problems that can occur when your currency might be one tick away from a clever hacker figuring out how to put those virtual coins in a virtual bag with dollar signs on it..

Look! It's a new video with Andrew Eisen complaining about something. There's no keeping this guy satisfied! Not only is he upset with the delay of Rayman Legends for all platforms (hey, wasn't this supposed to be a Wii U exclusive?), but he also wants to make us listen to him complaining about it. I'm sure he uses some kind of rapier wit to describe his current angst against Ubisoft (usually he'd be complaining about U Play or "always on" DRM), but will it make his message palatable enough for us to listen? The jury is still out.
