Good to see the newspaper didn't immediately link them and it was important to note that he told a different story to his girlfriend. Killers are frequently described as being in an altered state where they're focussed on the job & nothing else. No matter what he did before or after, he murdered 2 people whilst they were asleep (or at least STARTED to kill them when one was asleep). If he does truly do well in so structured an environment as prison then it sounds like the best place for him.
