We thought it would be fun to see what people are saying about Hatred, a game announced this morning that focuses on the exploits of a "mass murderer" on a killing spree.

Dtoid Commenters seems to be split on whether the game's premise and gameplay has any value. Some are comparing it to GTA, while others find it a bit repulsive.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) is shining a spotlight this week on a new Australian bill that would make it so that Internet service providers in the country would have to collect and store personal user data and give law enforcement agencies access to it for up to two years. The unnamed bill, currently being referred to as the "mandatory data retention bill," will be introduced to the Australian federal parliament during the week of October 27.

Sega of America announced today that it is changing its policy about comments on pictures it posts of real people. Going forward, anyone that posts derogatory and hateful comments or personal attacks on a photo of a real person posted by Sega will have their message deleted and their right to post future comments removed permanently. This new policy applies to the SEGA blog, SEGA forums, and the SEGA or Sonic the Hedgehog social media accounts.

YouTube's most popular personality PewDiePie has decided that, going forward, he will turn off comments on all of his videos. In his latest video he explains in great detail why he thinks comments on his videos are mostly useless and an aggravation to deal with.

"I go to the comments, and it's mainly spam, it's people self-advertising, people that are trying to provoke, people who reply to all these...just all this stuff that, to me, it doesn't mean anything," he says in the video.

Prolific indie game developer Anna Anthropy has released her latest game, Gay Cats Go to the Weird Weird Woods as a Freeware download for Windows PCs. Built using Gamemaker, Anthropy's latest game stars her and her partners' cats, who go on a magical adventure in the woods together. The game is described as "a low-pressure, enjoyable, exploratory experience" that will take players about 15 minutes to finish.

Firaxis Games will hold its first-ever fan event called "Firaxicon" at the Embassy Suites Baltimore (Hunt Valley, Maryland) on September 27 and September 28. Tickets for attending the two-day event will cost you $40. Tickets are described as "extremely limited," so get them while you still can.

Attendees will be able to meet members of the Firaxis Games team, enjoy a special "Evening with Sid Meier" presentation, get some hands-on time with the upcoming PC game Civilization: Beyond Earth and get a tour of the Firaxis Games office.

The ESL announced that the ESL One Cologne 2014 event saw peak online concurrent viewership of more than 409,368 during the Counter Strike: Global Offensive match in-game or online. In addition Twitch saw 343,638 peak concurrent viewers, beating a record set in March by 153 percent.

"It's amazing to see the growth of Counter Strike: Global Offensive in the eSports community. Just five months after ESL One Katowice, we see ESL One Cologne 2014 break our previous record by an amazing 161 per cent," said the ESL's Ulrich Schulze.

While it will come as no surprise to anyone paying attention to proposed changes to the 2010 Open Internet Order (Net Neutrality rules) put forth by chairman Tom Wheeler, the FCC has confirmed that over one million people submitted comments during the public comment period so far.

The deadline to submit comments ends tonight at Midnight.

According to a tweet from Gigi Sohn, Special Counsel for External Affairs, Office of the Chairman, more than 1 million people have now submitted comments on net neutrality.

CVG reports that an unofficial Minecraft convention is being called a scam after the organizer canceled the New York City-based event at the last minute on Twitter and promised to reschedule the multi-day event at a later time. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata will not be attending the company's annual general meeting of shareholders this month because he recently had major surgery and is at home recovering from it. eSports gaming league Major League Gaming announced that its Xbox 360 app has launched today in Australia, Canada, the U.K and the U.S. You'll need an Xbox Live Gold account to use it. The streaming video / entertainment app allows users to get direct access via the Xbox 360 to its programming on MLG.tv, a streaming service the league launched in November of last year.

The Obama Administration has responded to a petition on "We The People" calling on the president to compel the FCC to fix net neutrality rules and lobby congress to do the same. In its response the administration reaffirmed its commitment to net neutrality rules, while at the same time highlighting the fact that the Federal Communications Commission is an independent agency.
