A national press tour for the Fourth Edition of Joel D. Joseph's book chronicling (what he believes) are the worst decisions made by the United States Supreme Court in recent years is about to get underway. Sony Pictures has purchased the film rights to "Console Wars," a book chronicling the war between Nintendo and Sega in the 1990's. Seth Rogen (Knocked Up, Pineapple Express) has apparently signed on to write and direct a film based on the book. He will be joined by his long-time writing partner Evan Goldberg as well, according to Book Trade.

Harvey Smith's book, "Big Jack is Dead," has been honored as one of the Best Indie Books of 2013 (in the general fiction category) by renowned book review service Kirkus today. The book written by Smith (who is best known for his work on hit games such as Dishonored, Deus Ex: Invisible War, Deus Ex, Cybermage, and Ultima VIII) tells the story of an executive returning home to deal with his father's funeral and confront the past.

Flagler College (St. Augustine, Florida) assistant professor of communication Matthew Wysocki helped make a new book about control in video games a reality.
